Looking for the perfect way to enjoy Vermont’s beautiful summer weekends? The Cooler in the Mountains concert series at Killington Resort brings together live music, mountain views, and a fun, laid-back vibe — all for free! Every Saturday from early July through early September, visitors and locals gather on the lawn at the K-1 Base Area to soak up the sunshine and enjoy performances from an impressive lineup of regional and national artists.
Sponsored by Kona Big Wave, each concert kicks off in the afternoon, creating a lively yet relaxed festival atmosphere that’s perfect for families, couples, and groups of friends. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to get comfortable, and leashed dogs are welcome too. With the open mountain backdrop and Killington’s famous Umbrella Bars nearby, it’s easy to turn your afternoon into an unforgettable experience.
This summer’s lineup includes a mix of genres, from soulful folk and energetic rock to reggae and jam bands. Whether you’re into laid-back acoustic vibes or want to dance to high-energy tunes, there’s something for everyone. Plus, local food and drinks are available on-site, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the show without missing a beat.
Attendees can arrive at 2:00 PM and concerts last from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry — Killington has a rain plan in place and updates guests by 11 AM on show days. After the concerts, visitors can keep the adventure going by exploring Killington’s summer activities, like mountain biking, hiking, or scenic gondola rides.
