Get Ready to Deck the Rails at Killington Resort — A Holiday Rail Jam!

As winter arrives in Vermont, Killington Resort ramps up the adrenaline with Deck the Rails, a brand-new holiday rail jam event designed to bring together skiers and snowboarders of all levels for a festive day of tricks, rides, and big prizes on the snow. Slated for December 20, 2025, this exciting competition transforms Killington’s famed terrain into a playground of rails, hits, and features where riders can show off their style and skill. The event is perfect for anyone who loves freestyle terrain and seeks a festival-style winter experience.

What sets Deck the Rails apart this season is its impressive prize pool and competitive format. Riders will be able to compete for their share of a $10,000 prize purse, making this holiday rail jam not just fun but highly competitive. Whether you’re a local shredder or a visiting snow sports fan, this cash incentive helps position the event as one of the most compelling early-season competitions in the Northeast. A portion of proceeds will be donated directly to Killington Mountain School, helping fund student-athlete programs and winter training opportunities for local youth.

Killington Resort has long been known as “The Beast of the East,” offering expansive terrain, robust terrain parks, and a vibrant winter community that thrives on outdoor culture. While Deck the Rails may be new to the resort’s calendar, Killington’s reputation for terrain park events like the longstanding Loaded Turkey Rail Jam shows the resort’s deep roots in the freestyle scene. The addition of Deck the Rails to the 2025–26 lineup highlights the resort’s commitment to offering fresh, high-energy events that appeal to riders and spectators alike.

More than just a competition, Deck the Rails brings a festival atmosphere to Killington. Comparable Ikon Pass destination events mix music, community, and lifestyle experiences with world-class skiing and snowboarding, and Deck the Rails continues this trend by encouraging community participation and friendly rivalry on a lively holiday weekend. Attendees can expect more than just rail action — the surrounding Killington area buzzes with winter activities, dining, lodging packages, and après-ski fun during the resort’s busiest season.

With big prizes on the line, an enthusiastic crowd, and the Killington slopes as your backdrop, this holiday rail jam promises unforgettable moments and plenty of Instagram-worthy tricks.
