On Saturday, October 4, 2025, Killington Resort will once again host the annual Pepsi Mountain Clean-Up, a community event dedicated to preserving the beauty of the mountain before winter arrives. From 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, volunteers will gather at the Snowshed base area to tackle trash and debris across trails, parking lots, and upper-mountain locations. The goal is simple but meaningful—clear the resort of litter before the snow flies, making the environment safer for wildlife, visitors, and skiers when the season begins.
The Clean-Up is more than just a tidy-up; it’s a celebration of stewardship. In partnership with Casella, sorting stations will be available so all recovered waste is properly recycled or disposed of. That means the impact stretches beyond simply removing trash—it ensures materials are handled responsibly and sustainably. By coming together, participants help protect local ecosystems, improve the visitor experience, and reduce hazards that hidden debris can cause once the mountain is covered in snow.
The day will kick off with registration and check-in between 9:00 and 10:00 AM at Snowshed. Once signed in, groups will be assigned to different areas of the resort, where they’ll spend the late morning and early afternoon picking up litter. At 12:30, everyone is invited back to the Umbrella Bar for a complimentary lunch, a well-earned break after a morning of work. The afternoon continues with a raffle and giveaways—including perks like Waffle Cabin coupons—before live music from NordPeak5 takes the stage from 2:30 to 4:30 PM, bringing the event to a festive close.
Volunteers don’t just get lunch and music—they get the satisfaction of knowing their efforts keep Killington’s trails and slopes pristine for the months ahead. The event is free to join, but all participants must either complete the Express Assumption of Risk form online beforehand or bring a valid lift ticket for that day. Those planning to help should wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes fit for uneven terrain, a water bottle, and layers to prepare for October’s unpredictable Vermont weather.
